Meet Paul
Paul Pantani has a distinguished law enforcement and public safety career spanning over three decades. As a seasoned leader and highly regarded expert in the field, Paul’s dedication and commitment to excellence has equipped him with a unique blend of skills and experiences, making him an ideal consultant for organizations seeking the deep expertise needed. He is committed to leveraging his extensive knowledge to assist organizations enhance their operational effectiveness and strategic planning.
Paul brings a rich tapestry of experiences and insights in law enforcement and public safety. Throughout his career, he built a vast and diverse network across many disciplines in the broader Southern California region, with an emphasis in Los Angeles and Riverside Counties, and across the country. This robust network represents collaborative connections with officials from all areas of government, business, public affairs, and public safety. Paul’s leadership, problem-solving, and organizational planning acumen coupled with his hands-on investigations and tactical operations experience uniquely positions him to effectively serve organizations in meeting their goals.
Paul began his distinguished law enforcement career in 1988 with the Glendora Police Department in Glendora, CA where he rose to the rank of Detective. As a Detective, he excelled in handling complex criminal investigations with an emphasis on fraud, financial crimes, and cybercrime. These experiences laid the foundation for Paul’s profound understanding of law enforcement procedures and investigative techniques. In 2008, he joined the Riverside County District Attorney’s (DA) Office as a Senior District Attorney Investigator, extending his skills in digital forensics and intellectual property theft.
In addition to these credentials, Paul also brings extensive experience in tactical operations. He attended SWAT school and served as an Emergency Response Team Member and as a member of the DA’s Office Dignitary Protection Unit. In 2017, he was promoted to Supervising Investigator with the Riverside DA’s office where his leadership career excelled, and he was fortunate to lead diverse teams who executed significant process improvements and delivered operational excellence. In 2020, Paul was promoted to Bureau Commander, managing division operations within the Bureau of Investigation. This included leading the Bureau’s Emergency Response Team and the task forces investigating Gangs, Narcotics, and Child Exploitation. Throughout this highly esteemed career, Paul has delivered a culture of excellence and outstanding results.
Parallel to his law enforcement career, Paul has also consistently been regarded as an influential educator. As an Adjunct Professor at Utica College and Champlain College, he has shared his wealth of experience with students in the Cybersecurity graduate programs.
In 2021, Paul launched the Transition Drill Podcast, where he interviews former first responders and military veterans. This initiative highlights his commitment to addressing the importance of career transition preparation, especially given the mental/physical health challenges these professionals face.
